Happy Friday, San Francisco. This is Jamie, and this is the To Do San Francisco podcast for February 27, 2026. Before we jump into the buzz of the weekend, I want you to take just one minute for yourself. Drop your shoulders away from your ears, unclinch that jaw, and take a deep, slow breath in through your nose and let it out. The affirmation for this Friday is simple. I've done enough this week, and I am enough exactly as I am. We spend so much time chasing the next thing, but right now, in this moment, you've already arrived. Take that feeling of enoughness with you as you step out into the city today. Now, if you're looking for a place to actually sit with that feeling, you've got to head over to six hundred ninety Mission Street near Third Street to a place called the Grove Yerba Buena. I've always called this place San Francisco's living room because of those massive grand trees inside and the fireplace that makes you feel like you've escaped to a cabin in the woods without leaving the city. The beauty of the Grove Yerba Yerba Buena is that it really adapts to whatever kind of Friday you're having. If you're getting a head start, they are pulling incredible grand coffee and serving up those legendary breakfast burritos with rosemary hash browns. But as we lean into the afternoon and evening, that's when the comfort food really shines. You cannot go wrong with their chicken pot pie. It's basically a hug and a bowl, and you absolutely have to save room for dessert. Whether it's a massive slice of their triple layer chocolate cake or that famous banana cream pie, it's the ultimate Friday treat. And if you haven't been by in a while, you'll notice they've really leveled up. They recently built out a beautiful, dedicated attached bar, simply called the Grove Bar. It's this cozy, moody extension of the main space where they're doing fantastic craft cocktails and local drafts. It's the perfect spot to transition from work mode to weekend mode, especially with their live music series that usually kicks off around 5 PM. The Grove Yerba Buena is open daily from 7 30 AM all the way up until 10 PM, so they're there for you from your first caffeine hit to your last nightcap. Before I let you go to enjoy the city, here is your kindness tip for the day. When you're out at your favorite spot today, whether it's the Grove Yerba Buena or your neighborhood corner cafe, take just a moment to tell the person behind the counter why you love coming there. A simple you guys always make my morning better goes a long way in making our big city feel a little bit more like a small community. So go out there, be kind to yourself, and I'll talk to you on Monday. Have a good weekend, San Francisco.
